Scientist of the Year Award!
Welcome all 7th graders and families!
This year the seventh grade is joining in on the Science Share night with the Scientist of the Year Award.
Again the date will be April 20th at 7pm in Golf Middle School.
Glad you asked! Each student in the 7th grade is responsible for researching a famous scientist in history. They will be creating a biography with Mr. Gilman in their English class and discussing and looking at much of the research they find in Science with Mrs. Maldonado. The final product will be a poster that represents that scientist and their achievements.
On the day of science share, every student and adult that walks into Golf Middle school will have the opportunity to review the scientists that each student researched and they will vote via secret ballot. At the end of the evening during the Science Share night, the votes will be tallied and that scientist will receive the award. Obviously, the real scientist will not be in attendance, but they will go on the Science bulletin board as the 2005 Scientist of the Year.
The deadlines for each step will be given in class by Mr. Gilman and the final project will be presented on April 20th at Golf Middle School
