Hello Golf District 67 Family,
I'm sure you are as amazed as I am that school is about to start! I hope you and your family had an amazing summer!
I have some start of school information to share with you.
If you placed an order for the supply kits....please read the following:
KINDERGARTEN WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PICKUP AT ORIENTATION TUESDAY MORNING AUGUST 17TH
5TH GRADE WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PICKUP AT ORIENTATION THURSDAY AFTERNOON AUGUST 19TH
ALL KITS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PICKUP ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AUGUST 18TH IN THE MULTI-PURPOSE ROOM AT GOLF FROM 4:00 - 5:00 PM
(JUST PULL INTO THE NORTH PARKING LOT AND COME IN THE FIRST DOOR ON THE RIGHT)
ANY KITS NOT PICKED UP WILL BE DROPPED OFF AT YOUR CHILD'S SCHOOL OFFICE ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 19TH
**PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THE HYNES SCHOOL SUPPLY DROP OFF DAY IS FRIDAY, AUGUST 20TH**
**ALSO PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THE PRE-ORDERED KITS DO NOT INCLUDE EVERYTHING ON YOUR CHILD'S SCHOOL SUPPLY LIST..PLEASE VISIT THE SCHOOL'S "BACKPACK" FOR A COMPLETE LIST**
As I mentioned at the end of the school year, we placed boxes outside each of the school offices for our annual school supply drive. Pease think of us and take advantage of before-school sales and free items to add to the boxes during the first week of school. Everyitem donated has been used by someone in need, in our own district! Thank you for your generosity.
Here's what the first few weeks will bring:
Wednesday, August 18th The Morton Grove Public Library is hosting a "Kindergarten Rocks" session that celebrates our incoming Kindergarteners. If you have a little one starting Kindergarten this year, please try to attend this fun celebration...registration is required...please contact youth services at 847/929-5102.
Tuesday, August 24th: not only the 1st day of school, but the PTA Welcome Coffee...at 8:30am when the last bell rings and all the children are in school, please stay for refreshments...little ones welcome!
Friday, August 27th: our first Market Day orders are due and pickup is on Tuesday, August 31st in the Hynes Gym...Here's the link so that you may go online and place your order... www.marketday.com . For September, you can qualify for 2 FREE Chalkboard Storage Bins AND a FREE Apple Pie. Plus, once you sign on, at the top of the screen, as different ads pass by, click on the Connect 2 Win (as seen below) to enter your email address for a chance to win the grand prize...an Apple iPad!...open to new and existing customers!!! 
Wednesday, September 1st & Thursday the 2nd Open Houses...Wednesday for Golf School and Thursday for Hynes School. There will be PTA tables set up with information and sign up sheets for upcoming events. When you stop by to say "hello" take a look at what is being offered this year!
Friday, September 10th Order forms for our first cash card order will be due. Please print off an order form from the "announcement" page. Please note that we have a new Chair this year, Chris Hoffman...thanks Chris!
Tuesday, September 14th First PTA meeting....will be held at Golf School in the Library at 7pm. Mrs. Westley will be holding a volunteer training class at 6:30 pm, before the meeting. If you have not had an opportunity to take one of these training sessions before, I encourage you and your spouse to come as it is required in order to volunteer in any capacity during the school year.
Saturday, September 18th We're bringing back the "Back to School Block Party"! We're looking now for volunteers and donations!!!!! Please email me if you'd like to participate....we need everyone's help to make this successful!
