Scenario: |
| Have
you ever thought about a vacation with just your friends? Are you ready to
have some fun-and no adults to bother you? Well, get ready because you and your friends are going to
visit each of the five regions of the United States. You may pick one
city/state in each region to visit. You will keep a journal of your
adventures and produce a visual presentation. Pack your bags and be ready
to roll! |
Tools and Resources:

We will make use of the many fine books in our Media Center, plus books
checked out from your local library. We will use the Computer Lab to
access the informational online links provided below. |
Activities:
|
| 1. Students will
complete three travel trips with a classmate. (Tom Snyder-National
Inspirer) |
| 2. Students will
view and discuss videos on US regions. |
| 3. After
presenting the project overview, students will use the links provided on
the school website to find information to include in their journals. |
| 4. All students will be expected to
complete information sheets by using the website links provided. Each student
will demonstrate correct use of word processing skills to complete their
trip journal. |
| 5. Student teams will read print
material and
use the websites provided to gain information on their assigned topics. |
| 6. Student teams will produce a
power point presentation to demonstrate their learning in regards
their trip. They will present their learning to their
classmates and invited guests. |
Project Sharing:

You will complete your trip journal. You will create a power point slide
show. You will share your learning, journal, and power point with your
classmates and interested guests. |
