Welcome to Golf Middle School
Timeless Teaching in a Changing World
Golf Middle School is home to approximately 330 students from 5th through 8th grade.
Our comprehensive program includes a balance of academics, exploratories, and social-emotional learning, all which challenge children to reach their fullest potential. Students complete a core curriculum in English, literature, math, science, social studies, as well as Spanish in 7th and 8th grade or a resource support period. Students are also provided with exploratories in music, art, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Additionally, we have daily physical education for all grades.
Golf Middle School has a nine-period day. During an Advisory/RtI (Response to Intervention) period, we provide enrichment or academic intervention support in math and literacy. This also serves as a time for teachers to hold social emotional literacy discussions with students and to organize group activities to reinforce those themes, including our school-wide CHAMPS program. Before school we offer a music program that includes band and chorus.
Our teachers are highly qualified professionals committed to excellence in education. Building on your children’s current skills they will help them to develop the academic, social, and emotional skills necessary to be successful in school and in life. They exemplify the Golf School District 67 motto of Inspiring Learners for Lifelong Success.
We value a collaborative spirit in our school community and work closely with parents to provide children with a positive school environment. We enjoy an active PTA, that supports the strong school-home partnership at Golf. Working together, we will ensure each and every one of our students has a successful school experience.
