Welcome to Hynes Elementary School
Timeless Teaching in a Changing World
Welcome to Hynes Elementary School!
Thank you for your interest in our school and for visiting our website.
At Hynes, we are dedicated to supporting and enhancing the wonderful tradition our school has of providing quality educational experiences for the students in a positive and caring environment. Our mission, to inspire lifelong learners and create successful people, is at the heart of our program.
Hynes is home to approximately 400 students in preschool through 4th grade. Our half-day preschool program for three and four year-olds is a tuition-based “blended” program, which includes children with and without special needs, as well as those at risk. We offer a full-day kindergarten program which focuses on the growth and development of academic, social and emotional skills.
Our elementary students in grades 1-4 receive extensive instruction in the areas of mathematics, science, and social studies. In addition, teachers utilize an integrated curriculum model when teaching the core language arts areas of reading, writing, spelling and grammar. The program is enhanced by experiences in art, music, library skills, technology, and physical education.
We are committed to working with the students, their parents, the teachers and staff, and the community members of Golf School District 67 to develop our students' talents and skills so that all can achieve their personal best and realize their individual dreams.
