Elementary School Learning

At Hynes Elementary School, we are committed to providing every student with the foundational skills and experiences needed for lifelong learning. Rooted in the goals of our Strategic Plan, our elementary program fosters academic, social, and emotional growth through engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction.

Early Childhood and Preschool

Our Preschool Program offers a blended, tuition-based model designed to meet the diverse needs of three- and four-year-old students. Full-Day Kindergarten

Kindergarten students benefit from a full-day experience that introduces formal learning through an experiential approach. Emphasis is placed on reading readiness, number recognition, language development, creative expression, and social skills like sharing and independence.

 

Grades 1–4 Curriculum

Students in grades 1 through 4 receive robust instruction in:

  • Language Arts (reading, writing, spelling, grammar)
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Social Studies

Special area instruction enhances the elementary experience and includes art, music, technology, physical education, and library skills. Field trips, assemblies, and after-school clubs provide additional opportunities for enrichment.
