Foundation4Future Progress

On November 4, 2024, our Golf School District 67 community came together to support a strong future for our students. With a 53% voter approval, families, neighbors, and community partners affirmed the importance of investing in safe, inspiring, and future-ready learning environments by authorizing $26.3 million in bonds.
We are deeply grateful for the trust and partnership shown through this vote. Your support ensures critical Operations & Maintenance needs, life-safety upgrades, and capital improvements, and makes possible the creation of brand-new Learning Resource Centers (LRCs) at both Hynes Elementary School and Golf Middle School—flexible, modern spaces designed to nurture collaboration, creativity, and academic growth.
Construction will begin in June 2026, with completion expected before the start of the 2027–2028 school year. We look forward to sharing progress throughout the journey and celebrating this milestone with the community that made it possible.
Thank you for believing in our students—and in the future of Golf 67.
Because as our campaign reminded us, an investment in our schools is an investment in our students.

Districtwide Improvements
The referendum will fund essential infrastructure and safety upgrades at both schools, including:
- Roof replacement
- New windows
- HVAC system upgrades
- Asbestoses abatement
- Replacement of the existing security system
These updates enhance building safety, energy efficiency, and reliability for students and staff
At the November 13, 2025, regular meeting of the Board of Education, the District's architect and construction management parters, presented renderings of the project.
Hynes Elementary School Improvements
Additions and renovations at Hynes will include a new secure main entrance and office and a Learning Resource Center (LRC) intentionally designed as a fun, playful, and safe environment that supports students’ academic and social growth. The space will feature Biophilic design elements, incorporating natural light, color, and nature-inspired materials. Research shows that bringing nature indoors can boost wellness, focus, and learning outcomes—making the LRC a warm and welcoming hub for students.
Additional improvements include:
- Converting the stage into the main hallway with a vibrant mural
- Repurposing the current library into small instructional classrooms, supporting the return of an NTDSE classroom
- Creating a dedicated music room
When construction is complete, the mobile classroom unit will be removed, returning students and staff to one unified building.

Golf Middle School Improvements

The current media center will be transformed into a modern Learning Resource Center, featuring an open and flexible layout for collaboration and extended learning spaces.
The redesigned LRC will include:
- Two breakout rooms
- Conference room
- Multiple zones for collaborative and independent work
