Golf Middle School traces its roots back to Golf Elementary School, originally a four-room school built in 1927. Over time, the school expanded and was supplemented by Hynes Elementary in 1957. In 1961, Golf Junior High School was established, and the current Golf Middle School remains at this site.

Frank Hren Discovery Park

Frank Hren Discovery Park, located next to Golf Middle School is a result of partnership between the school district and the Morton Grove Park District. The park honors Frank P. Hren, a former teacher and principal of Golf Junior High School, recognizing his contributions to education in our community.
